LaBarge Weinstein Welcomes Two New Lawyers to the Team

Having grown from four lawyers in 1997 to 17 lawyers in 2012, we’re at it again! LaBarge Weinstein LLP is proud to announce that articling students, Joelle Gogo and Michael Grantmyre, have been hired as associates of the firm.

LW has a long history of hiring and retaining articling students. “When possible, we like to see growth from within the firm,” said co-founding partner, Debbie Weinstein. “We hire three articling students each year and it’s our intention to retain as many of them as we can with the hopes they will stay with us throughout their career.”

The firm offers articling students full exposure to virtually every aspect of corporate and commercial practice including securities, corporate, taxation, and technology law. Articling students are actively and directly involved on files, from the initial meeting with the client, through to completion. The students work closely with our lawyers to ensure that the client receives the highest quality service and greatest value possible.

A career in law is a never ending learning curve, so it is understood by our partners and associates that a certain amount of their time will be spent on mentoring our students. In addition, our open door policy and relaxed atmosphere make it easy for students to seek out work in areas that interest them.

Sarah Chisholm, who was our third articling student, recently moved to Toronto. We wish Sarah all the best and thank her for her exceptional work while at LW!
