LaBarge Weinstein is Vancouver Bound

Ottawa, ON, August 22, 2012 – LaBarge Weinstein LLP, a business law firm, is pleased to announce that it is expanding to British Columbia with the opening of a Vancouver office. The firm’s new location will be officially up and running on September 4, 2012.

LaBarge Weinstein focuses on providing legal services to high tech and knowledge-based companies and their investors. Headquartered in Ottawa, LaBarge Weinstein has satellite offices in Toronto and Waterloo, and clients from coast to coast in Canada and around the world.

“We’re very excited to build on our growing practice in western Canada,” said co-founding partner, Debbie Weinstein. “The BC technology market is strong and is gaining momentum. Although we’ve been serving clients in the region for years, we thought our 15th anniversary marked the perfect time to make our presence permanent.”

Since its formation in 1997, LaBarge Weinstein has become a leading player within the Canadian technology industry. In addition to assisting companies and investors in closing hundreds of millions of dollars in financing transactions over the last two years, LaBarge Weinstein has acted for vendors and purchasers on more than $2 billion in technology M&A deals during that period, including PostRank’s sale to Google, Radian6’s sale to Salesforce.com, Protus’ sale to J2 Global, and Tungle’s sale to RIM.

“The excitement in the Vancouver tech sector is palpable and we believe that LW’s style of practice is well suited to meet the needs of these young and growing companies,” added Paul LaBarge, co-founding partner.

LaBarge Weinstein is recognized as a client-centric and innovative firm that delivers prompt, creative, economical, and effective solutions throughout the life cycle of tech companies. The firm’s track record of winning results is due to its investment in people and processes, while always staying focused on business law.
