Kitchener’s truLOCAL Inc. acquired by EMERGE Commerce Ltd.

Market leader, direct-to-consumer, locally sourced meat subscription service truLOCAL was recently acquired by EMERGE Commerce Ltd for up to $16.8M. The acquisition provides EMERGE its first monthly recurring subscription offering, and will see truLOCAL founding team and brand remain.

Founded in 2016, truLOCAL connects health-conscious consumers to local suppliers throughout Canada and the U.S,, establishing a new way to support local businesses and eliminating consumer faced challenges when sourcing high-end, locally-sourced meat products.

EMERGE Commerce Ltd., is a disciplined, diversified, rapidly growing acquirer and operator of niche e-commerce brands across North America.
