Glowstick, a Toronto based AI startup, recently raised a $1.3 million CAD

Glowstick, a Toronto based AI startup, recently raised a $1.3 million CAD pre-seed funding round to help B2B companies identify sales opportunities over video calls. This round was led by Cleo Capital with participation from tech accelerator Entrepreneur First and notable angel investors, such as ElementAI co-founders, via their ApSTAT Fund and former head engineer at Shopify, Josh Tessier.

Glowstick’s platform helps businesses create new sales by surfacing leading indicators from recorded customer video calls. The technology can identify visual cues, body language and key words that may otherwise go unnoticed in a virtual meeting. According to Glowstick, there are significant upselling opportunities originating from such calls.

LaBarge Weinstein acted as counsel to Glowstick with a team that included Debbie Weinstein and Nick Robelek.
