U.S firm, Workforce Software recently acquired Gatineau’s Foko Retail

Workforce Software has acquired Gatineau’s Foko Retail after it raised $3 million in venture capital that fueled its international expansion. With Workforce, Foko will increase its customer base and geographic reach.

Workforce Software is a Michigan-based firm with offices in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Workforce is home to more than 1,200 clients, including several Canadian firms such as Air Canada, Maple leaf Sports & entertainment and National Bank.

Foko Retail is a Gatineau-based firm that makes software targeted at traditional brick-and-mortar retail businesses. More than 50 companies, including Converse, Nike, and Whole Foods, use the service, and the company’s revenues continue to increase at a rate of 60 percent every year.

LaBarge Weinstein acted as counsel to Foko Retail with a team that included Michael Sami, Michael Morgan, Nick Jasperse, Alicia Grant and Véronique Poulin.
