Why it Matters:
At LaBarge Weinstein, we believe that building a strong community means giving back in meaningful ways. By hosting the Swap & Shop for a Cause, we’re doing more than creating a space to exchange items — we’re:
- Reducing Waste & Promoting Sustainability
Extending the life of clothing, household items, and toys helps keep them out of landfills, reducing environmental impact while encouraging mindful consumption. - Supporting Community Well-Being
Every donated item and every purchase made at the event directly supports Shepherds of Good Hope, funding programs that provide food, shelter, and essential services for Ottawa’s most vulnerable population. - Bringing People Together
This event is about connection. Local businesses, community members, and neighbours all come together to share resources, spark conversations, and strengthen our collective impact.
Together, we’re proving that small actions — donating, swapping, and shopping — can create lasting change for both our community and our environment.
