LaBarge Weinstein LLP, one of Canada’s leading business law firms is looking for a creative, organized and proactive individual to take on the position of permanent, full-time Marketing Specialist in our Ottawa office.

LaBarge Weinstein has offices in Ottawa (Kanata), Vancouver and Toronto. Our core practice areas include start-up formation, venture financings, mergers and acquisitions, public company compliance and corporate governance and tax. More information about our firm can be found at www.lwlaw.com.

In this position, you will focus on the day-to-day execution of the firm’s marketing programs and activities and provide support to the lawyers in managing their own personal marketing activities. As the sole marketing specialist at the firm, you will have the opportunity to grow in this position and use your creativity and expertise to develop new programs and activities that will help increase the profile of the firm to its desired regional and national audiences.

Applicants for this position should have the following experience and skill: (i) up to 5 years of experience in marketing communications; (ii) understanding and knowledge of B2B marketing; (iii) exceptional writing skills and experience in producing marketing content – including on digital media platforms; (iv) ability to manage and update content on the firm’s website and social media platforms (v) excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work with people at all levels in an organization; (vi) organization and self-discipline as you will be taking on assignments from multiple people in the firm; (vii) the ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision; and (viii) a team player who meshes well in a busy office. Experience in a professional services environment and an understanding of the technology industry would be considered an asset.
