Emerald Technology Ventures leads $11 million financing round for Librestream Technologies Inc.

Emerald Technology Ventures and BDC Capital have announced an investment in Librestream Technologies Inc., a company that provides video collaboration solutions for business users in industrial applications and field services.

Emerald led the CAD $11 million financing round and was joined by BDC Capital and other new and existing shareholders.

“Greater wireless connectivity, proliferation of smartphones, embedded applications and new service revenue models provide a great environment for video collaboration by business,” said a statement from Charles Vaslet, Partner at Emerald Technology Ventures. “Librestream is fulfilling the promise of bringing together co-workers, suppliers and customers to provide an improved service quality and faster decision s at a much lower cost”.

LaBarge Weinstein acted as counsel to Emerald Technology Ventures with a team that included Debbie Weinstein, Kyle Lavender and Laura Venasse.
